Skafferiet. A place to store all my favorite recipes.

I have always loved cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. Over the years, this passion has led me to create many unique and delicious recipes. However, I often found myself jotting down these recipes on scraps of paper or in various notebooks, making it difficult to keep track of them all. During a conversation with a friend about our shared love for cooking, I was inspired to find a better way to store and organize my culinary creations. This is how the idea for my recipe website was born.

Driven by a desire to create a seamless and user-friendly platform, I chose to build the website using Next.js for its robust performance and flexibility, and Prismic as the CMS for its powerful content management capabilities. My goal was to develop a digital space where not only I could store and access my recipes easily, but also share them with a wider audience of food enthusiasts.

Throughout the development process, I focused on creating an intuitive design that highlights the beauty of each dish, coupled with detailed instructions to ensure that users can recreate the recipes with ease. Currently, the website allows users to browse recipes and follow step-by-step instructions. Future features will include a search functionality, the ability to adjust ingredient quantities, and interactive checkboxes to mark off ingredients as they are used during cooking.

This project allowed me to merge my passion for cooking with my skills in web development, resulting in a dynamic and interactive recipe website. It stands as a testament to my ability to create functional and aesthetically pleasing web applications, and I am excited to continue improving and expanding it in the future.
